YOUTH MINISTRY
Where middle and high school students connect, grow, and serve.

Lake Highlands UMC Youth Ministry is a place for 6th–12th grade students to build meaningful friendships, explore their faith, and discover how God is at work in their lives. Whether students have grown up in church or are just starting to ask questions about faith, they’ll find a welcoming community where they can be themselves, connect with others, and grow in their relationship with Christ. Through weekly gatherings, small groups, and opportunities to serve, we encourage students to deepen their faith and live it out in their everyday lives.

YOUTH SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sundays | 9:35–10:40 a.m. | Youth Room
Students begin the morning with donuts and hot chocolate before moving into a lesson and discussion designed to help them connect scripture with real life. Sunday groups are a relaxed space where students can ask questions, share honestly, and learn together.

SUNDAY NIGHT YOUTH
Sundays | 6–8 p.m.
Sunday nights are the heart of our Youth Ministry. Students gather for dinner, games, worship, and a message that connects faith with the challenges and experiences of middle and high school life. The evening wraps up in small groups where students can talk more deeply, build friendships, and pray together.
CONFIRMATION
Confirmation is a special opportunity for 6th and 7th graders to learn more about the Christian faith and what it means to be part of the church. Throughout the program, students explore the history, beliefs, and practices of Christianity from a United Methodist perspective. The experience concludes with a Confirmation Service, where students who choose to be confirmed publicly profess their faith and become full members of the church.
