"Rich: Learning to be Content in a World with Too Much"
My son recently lost his two front teeth. I was surprised by his reaction to this new “look.” Instead of missing the two teeth that he once had, he delighted in the fact that he now has a new way to stick out his tongue.
In our new sermon series entitled, “Rich: Learning to be Content in a World with Too Much,” we are going to be exploring what the Bible has to say about what we have been given, where we put our faith, and how God works in the midst of it all. In a world that demands and encourages more, how do we put our focus on Jesus and learn to be content with what we have been given? How do we celebrate the “grace that is sufficient for us” (2 Corinthians 12: 9) and learn to delight in God’s goodness?
We can choose to focus our attention on what we do not have, or we can rejoice in the small blessings that we have been given – even something as small as sticking out our tongues. Amen.
