At Lake Highlands United Methodist Church, we love everything about Christmas! We decorate the church with twinkling lights, trees and garland. We sing lots of Christmas carols. We light candles and ring bells. But most of all, we enjoy celebrating the birth of Jesus – the Savior of the world- with you!
3 o’clock in the afternoon, we will worship outside (as long as the weather permits) as we sing Christmas carols, tell the story of Jesus’ birth, and light candles. This is a great service for families with young children, as they will have plenty of space to wiggle and dance. Bring your lawn chairs for worship together in our McCree Road parking lot.
5 o’clock in the afternoon, we will worship in the sanctuary for a traditional service complete with lessons and carols, choral music, and the sacrament of holy communion. We will continue to sit socially distanced and face masks are highly recommended.
7 o’clock in the evening, our RELATE Contemporary worship band will kick off an hour of worship filled with carols and candlelight as well as communion. This worship service will take place in the Great Hall, where we socially distance and highly recommend face coverings.
We hope to see you at Lake Highlands United Methodist Church this Christmas Eve! Merry Christmas!
