Lake Highlands Military Moms group was started in 2005 by Rhonda Russell after her son had served a tour of duty in Iraq.
Their mission is to recognize and honor all LH graduates and residents serving the Armed Forces and to provide moral support of their families.
Several times a year they send care packages to all LH military serving overseas. Below is a list of items that they send. You can bring these items either to our September 13 meeting or leave them in a specially marked box in the Refreshment Center.
Snack foods (be sure to check expiration dates)
Hard candies or candy that doesn't melt
Gum
Powdered drinks, tea
Toiletries (soap, lotion, razors, dental, nail, Kleenex)
Pen, pencils, paper
1st Aid supplies
Playing Cards, Games, DVD's
Batteries -- AA & AAA
