What about my kids?

You will find a safe and fun place for your children and teens.  Most of the children and youth that attend LHUMC live right here in the Lake Highlands community…your children will most likely be surprised when they are welcomed by friends they know from school.

Babies
Babies are cuddled and cared for by loving volunteers in our nursery.  The nursery is located just around the corner from the back of the Great Hall where the “The Bridge” Contemporary service is held. For more information click on Our Ministries and then click on the Children's link.

Elementary Children
Your elementary age children will find exciting Sunday School teachers that offer crafts and age-appropriate lessons.  All children are welcome to attend “The Bridge” Contemporary Service which offers a children’s sermon at the beginning of the service.  After the children’s sermon the children are lead by our Sunday School teachers to their classes or they may return to sit with their parents for the remainder of the service.   For more information click on Our Ministries and then click on the Children's link.

Youth
Our youth ministry, called “refuge”, provides a great atmosphere for teens to grow spiritually and socially. Besides the youth group meetings teens are encouraged to participate in retreats, mission trips, special events and a host of other great activities.  “The Bridge” Contemporary Service is a popular services strongly attended by our youth.
